I was just reading qt today and this spoke greatly to me. When you sit down and spend time with God the peace that washes over you just has no words for it. I'd give anything, anything to have that peace sit within me forever, but guess what? It requires continual effort from you to reach out to God, and is not a one time all or nothing effect.
Exodus 14:14 the Lord will fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.
Lesson 2: The earth was ready for Noah when he came out of the ark.
Genesis 8: 22 While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.
How would anybody have known that the earth wouldn't change after the flood? Maybe Noah would have thought that oh no thats it, I wouldn't be able to grow anything anymore after the flood. How about my livelihood? Oh wait there would be anyone else out here except for us, and so... how are we going to survive? So God not only kept him alive in the ark but also made the ground ready for him and his family to come out and start sowing and reaping. If God wants you in a certain place, He would surely prepare the ground for you to walk on. And we should trust that the ground He has prepared is the best, cuz it surely is, for us.
Lesson 3: Noah knew that God had kept him safe and gave thanks
He didn't forget that it was God that kept him safe throughout the 40 days and 40 nights and then delivered him into the new earth. How many times when we know that God has delivered us from our worst fears and troubles that we forget it the next day? When we meet the next same fear again, we need to remember how God delivered us from the previous one, then pray and let Him take over.
Thank you God, for this hour of peace, true peace that the world cannot give.
