A little hug from the porcupine

Came across this from a manga website, and felt that it was a true reflection of how I feel most of the time. 

We may feel underappreciated and unloved like we are giving without anything in return. We doubt out self-worth thinking it's because we are abrasive, unfriendly and unlovable. But can we see what's coming? Nope, not until something like this little prickly porcupine comes along and surprises us. Prickly and prickly. Somebody we don't expect. Because really, what we feel isn't how reality is. And so there will always be this person who will care for us, as long as we show that we want to be cared for.
