How to deal with that overwhelming anxiety

Everyone is anxious, to a certain degree. For those on permanent chill pills it may be minimal, even non-existent but to some, the highly-anxious and stressed, the anxiety you have inside you attempts to eat you up almost every hour. On bad days, this entirely kills your mood and makes you serious bad company.
In response to this, I've come up with things you could do to alleviate that stress.

1. Lay your cards out on the table.

Some situations might not be as what we make them out to be in our minds. Most of the time, they are a by-product of our exaggerated imaginations which play out the worst situations that can ever happen. For instance, you meet your significant other for dinner and an unexpected plus-one turns up, making you think: why was i left out of the know? AND to make matters worse that plus-one is somebody whom you have tried to exterminate in your mind because doing it in reality isn't possible.
What happens next?
Your mind goes into overdrive and the dark ominous feeling within you stirs up and spreads across your entire chest. You feel like you've lost control of everything, literally EVERYTHING.

But hey, what effectively changed? Nothing. You're basically spending time just with one more person and you're still going to eat your dinner. Then what? Everyone's going to go home and life continues on anyway.
Laying your cards down on the table would help you think realistically, instead of acting based on the situation played out in your mind.

2. There's always a way out.

You have to find it. Better still if you can do it yourself. The solutions offered by people aren't what you necessarily need. It's all in your frame of mind. If you don't like something, don't just sit there and do nothing about it. Sulking about it just makes you and everyone around you feel worse, so think of a solution. Many times getting out of the rut you are in requires much THOUGHT, which most people don't think to do.

Hold those tears back, breathe and know that everything's going to be okay.
