10 seemingly small but practical reasons why we shouldn't be overweight

1. To reduce inertia
It would be easier for you to get up and go, to walk, to run for the bus and to jump over things if you have to. Moving wouldn't be so much of a chore.

2. To take up less space
Who wants to be an obstacle to the route of others? It would be easier to manoeuvre in a crowd and this means getting to your destination during peak hours quicker. Oh yes and not to mention you wouldn't eat into the seating space of the person beside you on the bus.  This means less knocks, less bumps and also less irritated "tsks" from yourself or from people.

3. You eat less.
You save money.

4. You can participate in more activities without feeling like a deadweight.
If your friends wanted to go for a run if you are so heavy it would be tough to keep up with them.

5. You'll feel less lethargic and happier.
It's true. Try eating macs and getting fat, then see if you have the motivation to do anything at all. >)
